Valerie obtained her Esthetician and Skincare Specialist license in 2006, then went on to continue her education at the prestigious Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry. While earning her certification, she studied Multi-Media and Production Makeup, Special FX, and Production Hairstyling under the direction and guidance of some of the most accomplished working artists in Film, TV, and Fashion. Her instructors included such talented artists as (Emmy-Nominated) Erin Koplow (credits include There's Something About Mary, and more recently, Burn Notice), Jay Cannistraci (film credits include Forest Gump), and veteran celebrity makeup artist, Victoria Duke (celebrity clients include The PussyCat Dolls and Beyonce).

 

As a freelance artist, Valerie has had the privilege of working on-location all over South Florida as well as Los Angeles, on occasion. Her work has been seen on the runways at Miami Fashion Week and Miami Funkshion, featured in the pages of D'Luxe South Florida Magazine, on TV shows like Univision's "El Gordo y la Flaca", various commercials, industrial and corporate videos, independent films, and along the way, she has created picture-perfect looks for brides throughout South Florida.

 

Valerie currently lives in Sunny Isles, FL with her 2 year old daughter, Rachel.
